By definition I am an introvert, although many
would argue that. I never liked sports but took up running 2 yrs. ago as a way
to release stress. When I am not running, I am busy taking care of business, a
taxi driver to my 13 yr old, at band practice, volunteering, having coffee with
a friend or spending time with my guy. I love cooking, I hate cleaning up. My
house is a huge reflection of my life, always under renovation. And that’s okay
because it seems I want to reinvent myself every five or so years.
I have had the humbling experience of being the
reason for a charity event or two. Now I try to give back in whatever ways I
can.
I have more projects started than I will ever
finish in this lifetime but if I only have an hour to myself I’ll choose going
for a run.
"Don’t be into
trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want
to express by the way you dress and the way you live."
~Gianni Versace
I
love style but have had a hard time accepting who I am. Forever drawn to the classic blue jeans and
white oxford shirt - too bad my curves didn’t like that outfit as much as I
did. So in my mid-forties and feeling great, I am ready to embrace my curves.
Random thoughts. Memories. Special Moments.
Sometimes it’s therapeutic to have a good rant, share a laugh or get lost in a
moment of time. That’s what I like to scribble.
One day my mom asked me “do all your nights with
friends revolve around food?” I guess they do. It’s a natural pairing. Good Friends.
Good Conversation. Good Food. I’ve got a few favorite recipes and thought I
would share them here.
